Traveling for the Holidays? Don’t Forget Your Oil Can

Tim likes to say, “It feels good to feel good.”
Santa Claus might add, “It feels good to feel good around the holidays.”

Travel, however… doesn’t always feel so good.

Whether it’s flights, long car rides, or hours spent in airports, travel can leave the body feeling more like the Tin Man—stiff, rusty, and wishing someone would show up with an oil can.

And that’s exactly what Pressing RESET is:
Your body’s natural oil can.
Gentle movements that help your joints feel good, calm your nervous system, and help you feel like yourself again.

Recently, after a ten-hour drive, I stepped out of the car feeling every bit like the Tin Man without his oil. My hips were tight, my back was grumpy, and even my breathing felt shallow.

Then, I took a few minutes to Press RESET.

Nothing complicated. Nothing fancy.
Just breathing. Head control. Rolling. Rocking.

Within minutes, my body started to melt out of that travel stiffness. My breath deepened. My joints loosened. And that familiar OS feeling returned, “Oh… there I am again.”

If you’re traveling this season, try this simple idea:

Press RESET before you jump back into holiday life.

You might not be ready to go, "Full RESET" in Terminal C (though I’ve done resets in airports and survived the strange looks), but once you reach your hotel or guest room, you absolutely can:

  • Take a minute to breathe with your belly through your nose

  • Gently move your head

  • Roll a little on the floor

  • Rock back and forth

Two to five minutes is enough to “oil” your rusty body, refresh your nervous system, and help you enjoy the moments ahead, present, playful, and feeling good.

Because the holidays are better when you feel better.

And... It feels good to feel good.
